19 May 2012 | Tonn — Lagrone Wedding | Aubrey TX

June 4, 2012 by david

Our Windiest Wedding Yet

Four Strings provided a string quartet for the wedding of Courtney Tonn and Bruce Lagrone II on Saturday 19 May 2012 at the Tonn residence in Aubrey, TX. A strong and unrelenting wind made this sunset wedding a challenge, but once the music stands were braced and our Musicmaide Sheet Music Portfolios were in place, we were able to complete the gig with no wind-induced catastrophes.

Music for the ceremony was from the traditional set, with Canon in D (Pachelbel) serving as the bridal processional.

Prelude
Suite from The Firste Booke of Songes (Dowland)
Fairest Isle from King Arthur (Purcell)
Trumpet Tune from King Arthur (Purcell)
Wedding from Seabiscuit (Newman)
Music for the Royal Fireworks – 2 (Handel)
Trumpet Tune and Trumpet March (Clarke)

Ceremony
Seating of the Mothers: Air from Suite 1 in F ‘Water Music’ (Handel)
Bridal Party: Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring (Bach)
Bridal Processional: Canon in D (Pachelbel)
Recessional: Wedding March from A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Mendelssohn)

Four Strings String Quartet
