Four Strings provided a string trio for the very special 10th anniversary celebration of Hattie’s Restaurant in Dallas, TX. Hattie’s has become an Oak Cliff landmark, and is also one of the key businesses in the revitalization of the Bishop Arts District.  It was our honor to be made part of this special event.

A special thanks to Larry Townsend (General Manager) and Tony Alvarez (Owner).

our debut at piazza in the village

Four Strings provided a string quartet for the 17 November 2012 wedding of Allison Faulkner and Philip Hyde, held at Piazza in the Village in Colleyville, TX.

This was our first appearance at Piazza in the Village, and I have only good things to say about the venue, and especially the staff, who were simply excellent at ceremony day communication and organization. The wedding chapel has excellent acoustics for live music, as well as a high-quality sound system.

Prelude:
Music for the Royal Fireworks (Handel)
Air from Orchestral Suite 3 (Bach)
Fanfare from Première Suite de Symphonies (Mouret)
Bist du bei mir (Stölzel)
Trumpet Voluntary in D (Stanley)
Air from Suite in F (Handel)

Ceremony:
Seating of Honored Guests: Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring (Bach)
Bridal Party: Canon in D (Pachelbel)
Bridal Processional: Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin (Wagner)
Unity Candle: Irish Air for Solo Cello (Traditional)
Recessional: Wedding March from A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Mendelssohn)

Four Strings String Quartet
Sam Wood: Violin 1
Corinina Maxson: Violin 2
Amber Sander: Viola
David Cason: Violoncello

I can’t thank you guys enough for the beautiful music at our wedding ceremony last weekend at The Piazza. We had so many people compliment how wonderful you guys were and how intimate it made our ceremony. I really appreciate your talent and ability to produce beautiful music, and I will be recommending you to my friends that are getting married in the future. Thank you for listening to exactly what we wanted and for carrying our wishes out. It couldn’t have gone any better than it did. Again, thank you so much! -Philip and Allison
