Four Strings provided a string quartet for the 21 September 2013 wedding of Jennifer Santini and Nick Loyless, held at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, TX. Music for the prelude and ceremony was classical, but the bridal processional was a new quartet arrangement of Kenny G’s “The Wedding Song”.

Four Strings provided a string trio for the wedding of Kayleigh Kavanagh and Christian Mayes, held on 2 March 2013 at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, TX. Ceremony music was alternative traditional, eschewing the Pachelbel/Wagner/Mendelssohn set in favor of the Stanley, Clarke and Handel favorites that comprise another stream of the Western wedding music tradition.

I just wanted to say thank you for playing beautiful music at my wedding on Saturday, March 2nd. It added such a special element to the ceremony that could not have been achieved with a CD or iPod. You and your fellow musicians found the perfect balance between reverence and joy that made the audience truly enjoy the wedding. I applaud your talent and skill.

Most of all, thank you for being willing to play the hymn by Mrs. Eddy. I know it is a long song, but you and your partners carried it off beautifully, adding lovely bits of variations to keep it interesting and moving at a good pace. I appreciate your flexibility and willingness to really tailor the musical selection to the preferences of the bride and groom.

Four Strings provided a string quartet for the wedding of Shawn and Jessie Varghese, held at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, TX on Saturday 9 July 2012.

Several elements combined to make this one of our more unique and memorable services. First, the wedding was contained within an actual worship service, complete with a praise music period and a full sermon. Secondly, the service featured a song written and performed by the groom, dedicated to the bride. The groom, Shawn Varghese, wrote the lyrics and music, while the string backing was arranged by Four Strings cellist and resident arranger, David Cason.

I highly recommend four strings! David was incredibly kind and willing to work with practically anything we were able to give them. They showed up on time, well prepared and even joining in with the spirit of the occasion. David is very talented. I had written a song to sing to my wife at wedding and David had taken my recording with just a guitar and arranged a four-part accompaniment to go with the vocals and guitar. It was just what I was looking for!! Lastly, he was willing to play 2 a song with very minimal music and warned that it would be “light” but it was far from it, everyone loved them!! ‘jesu’ for the bride

Four Strings provided a string quartet for the wedding of Angela Marshall and Javier Marticorena, held on Friday 20 April 2012, at Ashton Gardens in Corinth TX. As usual, the fine acoustics from the loft at Ashton made it a joy to perform.

Music for the ceremony was a variation on the traditional, but with a twist — rather than the well-known Wagner and Mendelssohn processional/recessional, we were asked to play Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring for the bride, in the Adagio tempo commonly heard on old, pre-baroque revival recordings. For the recessional, the Hallelujah Chorus (cheeky, that).
